You teeter on the edge with death
To close your eyes from the noise of life
For you have already emerged from your fears
And await benediction with out spread arms
Fallen, from some unholy grace
You’re an empty carcass with no name
Sifted through a veil with a thousand arms
To earth, a child, caught in sin’s downpour
Your troubled eyes calculate the day
However, concealed behind the shadow
As they endure the traffic of time
And melt from the imperfection
Rarely do you hide in a crowd and watch your puppets play
For the world is but entertainment and you exist on its stage
Though you laugh with the living, you cry not for those who will die
But for those who have never lived
Could you be a figment in your own eyes
Unsure of the reflection seen, always a memory to be told
For you fade out with sun only to run wild in the night
Sometimes, not even you believe.
No heaven could change you, the world tried to exchange you
There is no belong, you’re omniscient wherever you go
Though the question still lingers, even I never fully understand
Were you a figment of my imagination or just another broken man?
