she walks along the dock
arms crossed
eyes fixed upon the vast
black waves of the ocean
slapping the midnight sky
barefeet slowly moving
dress clinging - humid
she approaches the end
where dreams are found
in castles deep in the ocean
and mermaids play in the
maze of the underground
beauty found in the depths
far beyond the speaking world
she leaps into nothing and
everything all at once
the salty sea consumes her
she sinks, she is calm
Her eyes stare wide
and lungs fill
she opens her arms
